The two pieces required fifty-five hours of work and nineteen different artisans, including four winners of the Meilleurs Ouvriers de France (best craftsmen in France) competition and two Knights of the French Order of Arts and Letters, experts in the arts of glass-blowing, carving, sculpting, gilding, and engraving.
