From raw to precious
The case of the Édition Millésime combines raw and delicate materials in a striking contrast that sublimates the brilliance of the piece it protects. Like a work of art, it finds refuge in a crate inspired by those that Baccarat has used since the 1950s to transport its most dazzling chandeliers and creations around the world. As a nod to this heritage, the symbols drawn on the wood have been preserved, accompanied by a new design: the graphic and stylized silhouette of the Édition Millésime. The original pine gives way to spruce, a wood chosen for its lightness, softness, and the fineness of its grain. Entirely handmade in France by eight artisans, this case, designed to stand the test of time, requires more than eight hours of meticulous work. Each copy is individually numbered, affirming the unique and authentic character of your piece.
Inside, the precious is revealed. Entirely lined with white bull calfskin leather, dressed with beveled mirrors that capture and diffuse light, the case extends the beauty of the gesture down to the smallest details. A discreet drawer houses the accessories as well as a luminous base that transforms the whole into a true sculpture of light. Made of zinc-effect metal, it echoes the emblematic cabochons of the Maison, inspired by the roofs of Paris. When lit, the base makes the crystal vibrate with a new intensity. The purity of the lines is revealed, the red becomes incandescent. A luminous magic that transcends the material and exalts each facet. Rechargeable, the base has a battery life of eight hours.
