Aware of the hydro-climatic risks that weaken the cultivation of perfume plants, Maison Francis Kurkdjian commits, via its decarbonization roadmap and the reduction of its water footprint, to actively contribute to sustainable perfumery.

Promote renewable energy sources

Maison Francis Kurkdjian boutiques in France, China, and the United States are supplied with renewable energy, and energy consumption is measured via Smart Impulse™ meters, allowing daily monitoring of their energy performance. Temperatures and lighting schedules are adjusted to minimize energy consumption.

Maison Francis Kurkdjian commits to undertaking the thermal renovation of all its historical boutiques, in order to reduce its energy consumption, and aims for 100% LED lighting by 2030.

Reduce the carbon footprint of our products and events

Since 2022, Maison Francis Kurkdjian has been conducting an annual carbon assessment to guide its decarbonization strategy and achieve its greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets, in accordance with the Paris Agreements. Since 2023, Maison Francis Kurkdjian has reduced its carbon intensity and has committed to a decarbonization plan to reduce its Co2 emissions per product sold.

The Maison's carbon reduction actions include: reducing the weight of our perfumes and launching refills solutions by 2027, using low-carbon and recycled materials, relocating certain productions to sites with a low Co2 emission energy mix, in France and Europe.

The Maison is committed to eco-producing its events, in order to reduce their environmental footprint. The 'Parfum, Sculpture de l'Invisible' event exhibition at the Palais de Tokyo, held in November 2025, was produced with a concern for responsibility and respect for resources: 99% of the materials were reused or recycled, priority was given to certified and upcycled materials, 88% of the technical equipment was rented to significantly reduce the event's carbon footprint, and 100% of the suppliers were local.

Choosing less carbon-intensive transportation methods

Since 2023, Maison Francis Kurkdjian has significantly reduced its reliance on air freight for goods transportation. The Maison aims for 90% of goods shipments to its subsidiaries to be via road, river, or sea by 2030.

Reducing the Maison's water footprint and adapting to hydro-climatic risks

Maison Francis Kurkdjian has conducted its first water footprint assessment in 2025, in order to identify actions to reduce its direct and indirect withdrawals. The Maison is engaged in several agroforestry projects in Morocco, to promote water retention in the soil. In this precious region for the perfumer's palette, the cultivation of flowers and fruit trees is threatened by intense water stress.
